The red pumps of wizard of Oz at V&A museum..

 

 

 

The authentic red pumps worn by Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz will be part of the report with the characteristic costumes of Hollywood, which takes place at Victoria & Albert Museum in London. It is the first time, that these items will be found in a report outside the U.S.

 

 

The exhibit is on loan from the National Museum of National History Smithsonian in Washington and report to the V & A would also marks the first time since the end of the film, in 1938, that the famous pumps will be found again, with the white-blue Dorothy's dress.

 

 

The pumps will be in London from 20 October to 18 November, in order to return to the U.S. for the celebration of Thanksgiving. The shoes then will be replaced by a faithful copy.
