''Five portraits of Coco Chanel''

Les cinq visages de Coco Chanel

London College of Fashion exhibit in September for the first time five portraits painted by French designer like Marion Pike.

It is an encounter that dates back to 1967, when Marion Pike signed portrait of Coco Chanel, an honor for the American artist as Picasso himself had been denied that right by the creator of the eponymous house. Marion Pike paint portraits of the legendary French designer, colorful works that are exhibiting for the first time, from September 5 to November 16 at the London College of Fashion. For this occasion, suits and all the collection of Chanel that was worn by the painter will also be presented in this exhibition sets out to discover the relationship and links that are woven between the two artists. An event where we can discover the seamstress under the eye of an artist who immortalized the greatest perssonalities in the world, like President Ronald Reagan, the architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Estee Lauder and Pope John Paul II.
